If you've landed here before and are wondering what's changed, here's the short version: this domain is now under new, independent ownership, and this is a genuine website launch rather than an update to whatever you might remember from before. We wanted to explain why we built this brand, and let you know about who's behind it now.

Why we started this site

Buying a TV, a fridge, or a laptop in the UK usually means opening a dozen retailer websites in a dozen tabs just to work out who actually has the best price on the model you want. Cheap Electricals exists to save you that admin: we pull in real listings from a growing list of UK electrical retailers and put them side by side, so you can compare price, spec, and availability in one place before you commit to buying anywhere.

We don't sell anything ourselves. When you click through to buy, you're taken to the retailer's own site to complete the purchase with them directly, and we may earn a small commission from qualifying sales, at no extra cost to you. Our interest is in the comparison being genuinely useful, not in steering you toward any one retailer, since we only get paid if you find a good enough deal to actually buy.

A quick note on who we are

Because "Cheap Electricals" is a fairly generic, descriptive name, it's genuinely easy to confuse us with businesses that have nothing to do with us. We'd rather say this plainly than leave anyone guessing:

This site is owned and operated by Aptly Retail Limited (company number 17352846, registered in England and Wales — see the footer of this page for our full registered details). We are not connected to, and have no affiliation with:

• any Trustpilot profile you may find with this domain from before this launch — that reflects a previous operator of this domain, not Aptly Retail Limited or the site as it exists today;
• "Cheapest Electrical" on eBay and Amazon, a separate, unrelated business trading independently on that platform; and
• Cheap Electricals Limited (company number 06858076), a distinct registered company that we have no relationship with beyond an unfortunately similar name.

If you've dealt with any of the above, good or bad, that experience simply isn't ours to take credit or responsibility for. We'd rather you judge us on what we actually do.
